Lennier Outfit - Waistband Progress

The Minbari Palazzo Pants are starting to look like pants! The waistband is in place but not yet sewn shut, the next step is to slipstitch it closed. After that, the final step is hemming the bottom of each pant leg. Each one has a circumference of several feet, so it'll take a while. I ended up putting bias tape everywhere there's a change between the other fabrics, and it helps it look like different textures coming together rather than just awkward edges between disparate fabrics. Also, the yellow details in the purple I used for the bias tape and waistband tie the yellow/gold from the green/yellow fabric in with the rest of the designs.

Blue/Green Moth - Wings and Magnets

I've had several days of steady progress on the moth. The lower wings have wire frames around the edges, small magnets in the wing tips, and topstitching for the wing veins. I'm mostly done adding the magnets to the upper wings, but I still have a few to go. I want the final moth to be able to hang out on the fridge (hence the magnets), so one of the images is from when I tested whether the magnets could hold a wing on the fridge. Quilted Vest - Done with Bias Tape

I have finished adding bias tape to all parts of the hem, the last bit was the horizontal lower hem, and that's done now. This is a partial photo because I want to save the full thing until I do the last step. I only have one cloth piece left to attach, but it involves at least two rounds of ironing, so it'll have to wait another day. Then I need to decide once and for all which fastening method I'll use, and attach whatever is necessary. The pattern recommends a combination of leather and cording, but I have a few ideas I'm considering instead. I have dexterity issues, so I want a closure method that is as low-frustration as possible for me. I love this vest, I love how it feels and how it sits on my body. I'm so excited to get to wear it once the final bits are in place.

Quilted Jacket Progress

Eventually this will be a quilted vest and half-tunic that are worn together. I'm hoping to finish assembling the half-tunic today, then I'll finish the vest. Evening Update: I hemmed and attached the sleeves, then completed part of the bottom hem. After that I’ll need to add grommets and cording, then it’s on to the long quilted vest which goes over this.
